RegulCrypto: Honest Research, Not Sponsored Promotion

We are an independent crypto research site that tests every exchange we cover, publishes scoring methodology in detail, and discloses every affiliate relationship. No exchange pays for placement on our rankings.

What We Do

RegulCrypto helps cryptocurrency users make informed decisions about which exchanges to use, how much they actually pay in fees, and what tax obligations they face. We do this through:

  • In-depth exchange reviews โ€” we open accounts, run real trades, test withdrawals, document the experience honestly
  • Free interactive tools โ€” fee calculator, futures P&L calculator, DCA simulator, tax calculator, profit calculator, staking calculator
  • Country-specific guides โ€” covering 17 countries with local payment methods, regulatory status, and tax overview
  • Side-by-side comparisons โ€” Bybit vs Binance, MEXC vs Bybit, and 25+ other matchups based on actual usage
  • Educational content โ€” how to trade futures, what crypto indicators actually work, how to set up your first wallet

Our Mission

The crypto exchange landscape is full of paid reviews, recycled marketing copy, and “comparison” sites that rank platforms based purely on commission paid. We exist because experienced traders deserve better.

Our mission is simple: publish independently-tested information that helps real people pick the right exchange for their specific situation, with the trade-offs honestly explained. If a platform we earn commission from has weaker fees than a competitor, we say so. If a platform with no affiliate program is the best choice, we still recommend it.

Our Principles

1. Independence first We accept no paid placements, no “premium ranking” deals, and no editorial guidance from any exchange. Affiliates can only influence the URLs we link to โ€” never the rankings or content.
2. Test before recommend Every exchange we cover gets tested with real money. We open accounts, complete KYC, deposit funds, execute trades, and withdraw โ€” documenting friction points along the way.
3. Math, not opinions When comparing fees, security, or features, we use specific numbers. “Bybit charges 0.1% spot maker” is more useful than “Bybit has competitive fees.” Our calculators let users verify our claims with their own data.
4. Transparency on conflicts Every affiliate relationship is disclosed. Our Affiliate Disclosure details exactly which platforms pay us commission and how that potentially affects our editorial coverage.
5. Update when reality changes Crypto moves fast โ€” exchanges change fees, get hacked, lose licenses, or rebrand. Our content is reviewed quarterly and updated when material changes occur. Old reviews get marked outdated; we do not pretend 2022 information is current 2026 advice.

Who We Serve

Our audience is crypto users who want straight answers without marketing fluff:

  • Active traders looking to optimize fees and find better execution platforms
  • Beginners trying to understand the trade-offs between exchanges before opening their first account
  • International users needing country-specific information about availability and tax
  • Tax-aware investors wanting to estimate their crypto tax liability before year-end
  • Power users running multiple exchange accounts and optimizing across them

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not give personalized financial advice โ€” we are a research and education site, not a financial advisor
  • We do not predict crypto prices โ€” anyone who claims to is wrong or selling something
  • We do not promote risky leverage strategies or get-rich-quick schemes โ€” most retail futures traders lose money, and we say so explicitly
  • We do not cover NFT or memecoin pumps for clicks โ€” we focus on lasting infrastructure (exchanges, wallets, tax) over hype cycles
  • We do not accept editorial guest posts disguised as independent content

How We Make Money

RegulCrypto is supported entirely through affiliate commissions from cryptocurrency exchanges. When a reader signs up for an exchange through our referral link, the exchange pays us a portion of the trading fees that user generates. The user pays nothing extra.

This model creates an obvious tension: exchanges that pay higher commissions could theoretically receive more favourable coverage. We mitigate this by:

  • Publishing our scoring methodology โ€” readers can verify our rankings against the same criteria
  • Disclosing affiliate relationships at every CTA
  • Including non-affiliate alternatives in every “best of” list (e.g., we cover KuCoin and Binance even though our affiliate share is smaller)
  • Reviewing rankings quarterly using fresh data, not commission rates
